DEVOTION ~ YOU'LL NEVER LACK

Theme: You'll Never Lack 
Text: Joshua 21:43-45

43 So the Lord gave to Israel all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it. 44 The Lord gave them rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies stood against them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand. 45 Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.




God has promises for each child of His and He has a perfect way of making these manifest no matter how long it takes. Usually it's not a long time before God as thousand years are like a day before Him and He brings His promises to pass in His own time (2 Peter 3:8-9; Ecclesiastes 3:11). The seeds of Abraham have been promised the land of Canaan through their grandfather and at the appointed time, God brought them to the land of promise. You must also not lose hope in God concerning His promises for your life. If you trust God to bring you to your promise land, He will and you will enjoy the three glories bestowed on the Israelites on reaching the land of promise. These glories are; possessing the land, having rest and never lacking (good things never fail).

When the Lord brings you to your land of promise be it marriage, career, education, business, family, ministry, nurturing children, etc He first makes you possess the land. In possessing the land, God gives you dominion over it. You have power, influence and favour in the sight of God and men. You enjoy the good of the land as God supplies all your needs. What land are you trusting God to lead you to? If you really desire to possess it, then stop looking at the clock and look up to God.

After possessing the land, the next glory is to be given rest. The rest of the Lord is what Jesus calls us to come into in Matthew 11:25-30. This is not just physical but also have a spiritual factor. Adversaries whether human beings or evil spirits cannot have control over your life if you are in God's rest. The Israelites had victory over their adversaries in every battle, likewise will you also have victory in all you do in the land you possess if you have God's divine rest.

The next glory is the experience of not lacking good things. The account was that, not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass. If you possess the land and enjoy divine rest, you will lack nothing for God shall provide for you in all things. God is good and faithful, He will never fail you if you trust Him in all things. Whatever thing the Lord has said about you will come to pass. You will never lack in life. Keep trusting God and He will make all things beautiful in His appointed time. 



Prayer: My God and my King, I praise You for Your grace and mercies in my life. I appreciate Your Hand of glory that moves me from glory unto glory. I pray to be faithful and loyal to you at all times even as You lead me to my promise land. This I ask in Jesus' name. AMEN!

    In God l trust and I know he will never disappoint me. And I believed l will never lack if l have trust and faith in HIM.

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
