DEVOTION ~ ABOVE CONDEMNATIONS
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
In our Devotion yesterday, we established that, we are predestined by God in the image of Christ, called, justified and glorified. In today's Devotion, we will understand why we are above condemnations. In God's infinite love, He has made us His own and He has become our portion. He has shown His love towards us in Christ Jesus' death and resurrection. His blood speaks good tidings in our lives. The blood of Jesus does not condemn or avenge rather, it's purely an overflow of unconditional love (Hebrews 12:24).
Who then can bring a charge against us? It's solely God but He instead justified us as righteous in Christ Jesus. Who is it that condemns? It's Jesus, yet He has offered Himself so we can be saved. The Triune God has shown an unconditional love towards us that nothing can separate us from Him. So the word of the prophet Isaiah is hundred percent true and its manifesting in our lives daily that; No weapon formed against you shall Prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17). Yes, we are above condemnations for every tongue speaking against us will be condemned as our righteousness comes from God and not by our carnal strength or work.
The Christian journey is not free from troubles, distress, persecution, famine, and all other ugly things that happens on earth. Those things rather should draw us more closer to God for His sufficient grace to strengthen us in our weaknesses (2 Corinthians 12:9). It is God who will make us more than conquerors if we trust Him to carry us through the battles of life. The mark of Christ's blood will not permit anything in the heavens, on earth, under the earth, in the seas, mountains, valley, things present or yet to come to separate us from God's love. We've been bought and sealed with the blood of Jesus.
In faith we can quench the accusers of our destiny when they try to play emotional drama in our minds to condemn us. Dear beloved in the Lord, you're the image of Christ and so you are above every form of condemnation. There's nothing that can separate us from God's unconditional love.
Prayer: My God and my King, I thank You for the provision for my redemption. Thank You Jesus for shedding Your blood on the cross of Calvery to speak good tidings over my life. Forgive me for still having the devil's accusing voice speaking and reigning in my heart and mind. I pray the Holy Spirit to have His way in me and renew my mind to Your truth that I'm above condemnations. Help me to walk in faith as a conqueror. This I ask in Jesus' name. AMEN!
Amen. Nothing can separate me from my Saviour.
