DEVOTION ~ COMFORT FOR THE SOUL
Theme: Comfort for the Soul
Text: Isaiah 57:18
18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him;
I will also lead him, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners.
I will also lead him, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners.
Our sins often lead us into discomforting situations. This discomfort has its tolls on us and those around us. It is only the saving Hands of God that can take us out of it with ease and heal us completely.
The Lord knows us and what we can and cannot do. All He requires of us is to acknowledge our sins and return to Him penitently. For He is faithful and just to forgive us and wash us from every unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). When we confess our sins to the Lord the burden of guilt is lifted and the peace of God comes to take full control in us.
The peace of God comes with divine healing. The healing could either be physically or spiritually. Both healing are good for the soul. When we are healed by God, He leads us to the still waters and restores our soul. He as well guides us in the path of righteousness for His name's sake. If you desire for your soul to be comforted, then you need to turn to God. He knows our weaknesses and He is willing to help us prevail over the burden of sin.
Prayer: Dear God, You know me better than I do myself. Forgive me for not walking in Your will. Strengthen me in the power of the Holy Spirit to do what You require of me. Heal me O God from every form of illness be it physical, emotional, psychological, or spiritual. Comfort my soul and all that You've blessed me with. This I ask in Jesus name. AMEN!!!
I surrender ALL to You, comfort my soul and all that you've Blessed me with.
