DEVOTION ~ COMMAND YOUR DAY
Theme: Command Your Day
Text: Job 38:12-13
12 “Have you commanded the morning since your days began, and caused the dawn to know its place, 13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it?
God has given us power over every circumstance in life through Christ Jesus. We need to make effective use of this gift to glorify God. In doing so, we have every sphere of our lives under divine management through faith. This can be made possible by prayers.
As believers, you need to begin and end your day with prayer. Prayer will help you to command your day. Commanding your day, gives you an upper hand over situations in your life. The most effective time for this is the early hours of the day (dawn). Awake with conversation with God and trust your day's work into His Hands. You will be able to cause things in your life to know their places and thereby doing away with worries and anxieties.
Christ said, this thing won't go unless by prayer and fasting when His disciples couldn't perform a miracle as expected of them(Matthew 17:19-21). Whatever you also want to shake off your sleeves in life, needs to be spoken to by prayer and fasting. What's your trouble in life? It is never and can never be greater than God. So go before God to help you frustrate the enterprise of the wicked. You have the ability to quench the darts of the enemy so rise early and command your morning. Jesus our perfect example rises each morning to command His day before starting His ministry. As His follower, emulate this from Him and take hold of your day. Receive the power from God to command your morning each day in Jesus name. AMEN!
Prayer: Dear God, You've given me power of life and death in my tongue. I pray You equip this power in me to use it for Your glory. Help me to command my morning with my tongue through faith. With my lips, may I proclaim You and also expose the deeds of the adversary. Give me the power to never fail in commanding my day from this day forth, in Jesus' name have I asked. AMEN!
