DEVOTION ~ GOD IS FAITHFUL

Text: Psalm 89:34-35

34 My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips. 35 Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David



From the beginning of time to now, God has been faithful with the human race. He has never for once abandoned mankind or failed to keep to His promises to His creation. Every word of God is fulfilled no matter how long it takes. It's rather unfortunate the human race often fail in keeping to the promises made to God. Many of us often fill we are in better position to help God fulfill His promises and we rather end up complicating issues in our lives.

Whatever comes out of God's mouth doesn't return to Him void unless the purpose for which it was sent is accomplished (Isaiah 55:11). Don't be discouraged when things don't turn out the way you want it to be. Your desires and perspectives can't take you to the height God will establish you. So, trust God's faithfulness even if it's dark around you, for His Light will shine through the darkness. 

The psalmist says, God has sworn by His holiness and will not lie to David. Yes, God's holiness cannot be tainted with lies so hold on to His Word concerning every sphere of your. Keep the Apostle Paul's admonishing to the Thessalonians in mind whenever doubts begin to set in you while hoping for God's Word to be fulfilled in your life; "But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3)." May the Holy Spirit keep you in God's will in all things.


Prayer: My God and my King, You've been true to Your word from the very day of my existence. I appreciate it a lot. Forgive me for the fear and doubts that have given me an imagination that You're unable to keep to Your Word concerning my life. I pray the Holy Spirit to lead and teach me to hope in You through perseverance. May Your will be done in my life in Jesus' name. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
