DEVOTION ~ GOD, OUR DWELLING PLACE!

Theme: God, Our Dwelling Place
Text: Psalm 90:1-2

Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. 2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.


God is the Creator of all things and He knows every sphere of His marvelous creation from light, darkness, plants, animals to man. In the Garden of Eden, He was with His creation keeping them company. His presence has been the dwelling place of man.

The Lord breath life in us to become living beings having created us in His image. Even after our first parents sinned, they couldn't provide for themselves so God had to give them protective clothes  (Genesis 3). From the fallen fathers unto this every generation, God has been our dwelling place because His Spirit lives in us.

 Dwellings are to serve as protections. All needed protection from physical to spiritual can only be perfectly given by God that is why, He is our dwelling place. If you forsake God's dwelling, you will find yourself endangered. Let God be your dwelling place for He is God above all things. 


Prayer: God, You are my dwelling place from the day of my conception through birth to this very moment. Holy Spirit, fill me with faith to stand firmly in all situations to know God is God in every sphere of my life and I'm safe in Him. This I ask in Jesus' name. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
