DEVOTION ~ GOD'S PROTECTION IN STRUGGLES

Theme: God's Protection in Struggles 
Text: Nahum 1:7

7 The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.



In His nature, He's good and faithful to us all. Whatever the Lord does is good and marvelous. When we allow God to take lead in our lives, He leads us to a place of greener pasture and still waters. We can only get to the greener pasture and still waters if we trust God. 

Troubles are a part of our lives journey. The troubles shouldn't cripple us in faith but rather, stir in us the strength to hold on firmly to the anchor of our lives, Jesus Christ. The stronghold of the Lord, is what brings peace into our lives. This is the place where our hearts and minds focus not on material or human help but solely on God to save us. In the struggles, God will protect us from destruction. 

The God who searches the heart knows those who faithfully trust He will see them through. Your fears, doubts, and unbelieve can't be hidden from God. He can tell whether you want to surrender to Him or not. Just as Job's later days became blessed than the former, so will we also experience victory and divine blessings if we hold on to God. May our faith in the Lord be increased so we can go through lives struggles with ease. 


Prayer: Abba! Father, my struggles in life are known to you. I pray for Your divine protection through each stage of my life. Increase my faith in You. This I ask in Jesus' name. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
