DEVOTION ~THE MASTER BUILDER

Theme: The Master Builder
Text: Hebrews 3:4

 4 For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.


We live in houses made by human hands. Whenever we enter a house built with all architectural elements on point, we don't just say wow and that ends it. We often praise the brain that made such a wonderful piece. It's just not about buildings, it could be a painting, design, craft, etc. If we can be pleased with the handwork of our fellow human beings, then we need to appreciate our Creator. 

All things are built by God. He knows the form (substance) of everything in existence. Even the hair on our head are numbered (Matthew 10:30). Being the Perfect and Master Builder, we need to commit our ways to His hands so he can build us up well.

Dear beloved in the Lord, God can build every sphere of your life far better than you can imagine. Don't hide from Him. It's impossible to even hide from God for He is everywhere and knows all things (Psalm 139:7-12). For your desires to be established well, you need the Master Builder to give you a helping hand. God's help will make you flourish in all things you do. You'll only babour in vain if you take the Lord out of your equation. If God doesn't build with you, you'll struggle and fail repeatedly (Proverbs 16:1-3; Psalm 127:1-2). Receive strength from heaven to completely  trust everything in your life to God to be built according to God's own architectural plan. 



Prayer: Dear God, I've lived my life and built it my way. Forgive me for not allowing You to build me up. I ask for Your touch to rebuild me into a better person. Rebuild my thoughts, heart and will to conform to Your divine and perfect will for my life. This I ask in Jesus' name. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
