Theme: The Possibility God

Text: Job 38:8-10

⁸ “Or who shut in the sea with doors,
When it burst forth and issued from the womb; ⁹ When I made the clouds its garment, and thick darkness its swaddling band; ¹⁰ When I fixed My limit for it, and set bars and doors; ¹¹ When I said,
‘This far you may come, but no farther,
And here your proud waves must stop!’

God is the Creator of all things and He has total control over them. What seems impossible, is very possible with God. As Christ Jesus said, with men, it's impossible but with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). The sea, is part of the creation story. The Lord God created the earth by gathering the waters under the heaven to one side and He named this water the sea and the dry land as earth (Genesis 1:9-10).

God then shut the door on the sea that it might not overflow to the land. He has made it possible for the sea not to overflow its boundaries from the time of creation to date. Even after the floods in the dispensation of Noah, the Lord God caused the earth to dry up (Genesis 8). There might be seas (troubles and turbulent) in your life that are making life unbearable for you. They have overcrossed their boundaries in your life, but when you come to the Lord, He will roll them all away so you're not consumed. It is for this reason the Apostle Paul admonished the Corinthians that; No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it (1 Corinthians 10:13). God always set limits for every burden, so seek Him so He will show you your door of escape.

Before the sea, the Lord God made the firmament to keep the sea in shape and in form. The waters above the earth He named as heaven (Genesis 1:6-8). The clouds have become the garment of the sea and thick darkness its swaddling band. There's beauty in every challenge in life. If you focus your attention on the ugly side of the challenge, you won't see the clear beauty that comes with it. The record of the past about Abraham ( when Lot chose fertile ground above him yet God blessed him grestly), Jacob ( the supplanter who encounters God at the moment he was to face his brother after usurping his birthright. He couldn't even walk well but God made him met his brother in peace); of Joseph ( who told his brothers it was the will of God for him to be sold so as to save the world and their household from famine; and Jesus Christ (who suffered the shame of the cross but attain victory over His adversaries through the power of the resurrection). Always ask the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of your understanding in all challenges. 

God has the power to fix limitations for pompous evil spirits and break their yokes just as He has fixed limits, bars and doors over the sea. There's a divine hedge covering over your life which is the limitation set for the devil and so he can't cross over the hedge without facing God first (Job 1:10). God breaks the pride of the evil one at all times just as He says to the sea; "This far you may come, but no farther, and here your proud waves must stop!" The Lord knows how best to ruin the pride of wickedness (Jeremiah 13:6-10). Rise up now and begin to speak life into every impossible in your life saying "IT IS POSSIBLE IN JESUS NAME ."

Prayer: Father of life, thank You for the grace of Your mercies over my life. Forgive me for moments I felt You have abandoned me. Renew my mind to know and trust You to make possible all impossibilities in my life. Teach me to confess daily I am the child of the possibility God. Help me to stand firmly in You. This I ask in Christ Jesus name. AMEN!
