DEVOTION ~ YOU'RE PRESERVED!
Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust. 2 O my soul, you have said to the Lord, “You are my Lord, my goodness is nothing apart from You.”
When we surrender unto God, we come under His protection. He preserves us even when we go through the bad and ugly pressures of life. The fact that we've become Christians isn't an assurance of a rosy life. It's rather the moment our affirmed faith is tested. It is during this moment the preservative Hands of God manifest.
To be preserved by God, you need to trust in Him. If you believe God is able to see you through life, you will trust Him to lead you. This trust has no room for doubts and fear. Rather, it is carried out effectively employing faith. What issues of life are weighing you down? Is it marital, children, bosses, neighbors, family, ministry, education, finances, emotional, psychological, health, etc? If you don't learn to handle them well, they will either complicate your ill-health or even lead to your death. The best way is to lay the burden before God and trust Him to help you out.
As the Lord helps you out of the burden, He preserves your life from being destroyed. His words says, "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it (1 Corinthians 10:13). You won't be consumed in your afflictions or burdens for God will surely make a way out for you. This way is the preservation God will grant you if you call on Him and trust His faithfulness. Anytime you're faced with a challenge in life, just call on God to preserve you. He is the God of your life and so He will perfect His glory in your life.
You may be wondering, if it hurts, does God's preservation still works? Yes, it does for the psalmist knew this that's why he said, “You are my Lord, my goodness is nothing apart from You.” There's nothing good outside the plan of God. God is good at all times and His goodness endures forever. If you fall on the devil to be preserved, he will definitely ursurp your valuables in exchange. These valuables are the good things God has bestowed on you from wealth, family, finances, etc to salvation. With God, He gives wealth without adding sorrows or regrets. May the preservative Hands of God keep you safe in all things and give you victory in every battle in Jesus name. Declare aloud, "I AM PRESERVED!"
Prayer: My God and Preserver, I thank You for Your mercies and goodness in my life. Forgive me for the moments I failed to trust You. I pray Your goodness locate every sphere of my life and bring divine preservation over all that is mine even now and forevermore in Jesus' name. AMEN!
