DEVOTION ~ DON'T IMITATE EVIL

Theme: Don't Imitate Evil
Text: 3 John 1:11

11 Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.



The best previlege and opportunity in life is to become a child of God. This opportunity leads you into eternal life when you die or on the Day of the Lord. Once you affirm your faith in Christ, you need to work to build His Kingdom than to destroy it. As Christ said, those who fail to gather with Him scatters and are not a part of Him (Matthew 12:30& Luke 11:23). In following Him you must become more like Him so that the name Christian conferred on you gives a deep significant meaning. 

As a Christian, your deeds should be associated with good and not evil. Avoid picking up bad behaviours from your environment. Whatever goes contrary to God's will must not be attached to you in anyway be it; drunkenness, fornication, adultery, envy, pride, wickedness, lies, etc.  Rather, be an imitator of Christ Jesus in all things (1 Corinthians 11:1 & Ephesians 5:1-2). Let the goodness of Christ manifest in you consciously and unconsciously in deeds and in words. Always have good intentions towards people and avoid sowing seeds of discords among the brethren. 

If you're part of God, then be identified as such. If not, your evil works will consume you and prevent you from entering into God's rest. May the Lord awaken your inner self to seek to do good and imitate Christ wherever you find yourself. 



Prayer: Dear God I thank You for accepting me as Your own. I pray You forgive me for the wrongs I kept doing even when I said I've surrendered to You completely. I pray the strength of the Holy Spirit to imitate the life Christ walked on this earth many years ago. I pray His examples will have its place in my mind and heart so that every evil in me will be extinguished by the Holy Spirit. This I ask in Jesus' name. AMEN!

    As your child;have done so much deeds to you when I surrender to you, But pls God I ask for the Forgiveness of sin n strengthen me with the HOLY SPIRIT in Avery area in my life.

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
