DEVOTION ~ JUST BELIEVE

Theme: Just Believe 
Text: John 14:12-14

12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.



As followers of Jesus Christ, it's expected of us to emulate Him in all things. The power to do this with ease, lies in believing in Jesus. If we believe in Him, we will have the ability to walk in His path and to do the things He did while on earth. Now that He is with the Father, and has sent the Holy Spirit, we have the grace to carry out greater works.

In believing Christ, you don't expect to receive from Him what you desire but His will. When your petition goes before God, it is the will of God that will prevail at the end of the day. Christ said, whatever we ask in His name, that He will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. When you're well rooted in the things of the Lord, you'll have the mind of Christ. Your demands won't go contrary to God's plan for your life and so it shall be answered.

What are you trusting God for? Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the will of God in that request of yours to you. To ask in the name of the Lord is to seek His will. The name of the Lord is pure and holy. So the requests done in His name must be pure and holy as such.



Prayer: Dear Saviour Jesus, thank You for the power to believe and ask all things in Your name. I pray the Holy Spirit to increase my faith to trust You in all things. May Your will be done in my life, family, career, business, ministry (any field of your life) in Jesus' name have I asked. AMEN!

    Dear Saviour Jesus thank you for the POWER to Believe and ask all things in your name. I pray the HOLY SPIRIT to increase my FAITH to trust in you ; mylmy life, my family love ones n country, career be done in your name. Amen

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
