DEVOTION ~ THE LORD'S BLESSINGS

Theme: The Lord's Blessings 
Text: Genesis 39:1-5

39 Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. And Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had taken him down there. 2 The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand. 4 So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority. 5 So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had in the house and in the field.


To prosper in all your ways, you need the blessings of the Lord that adds no sorrows. This was the portion of Joseph wherever he found himself; from his home even unto slavery in Egypt and in prison. As a child of God, you can also tap into this divine blessings by establishing a good relationship with God. Invite the Lord in every circumstance you find yourself whether good or bad.

In his bad moments, Joseph didn't lament God has abandoned him that's why he was sold into slavery. Rather he kept his faith in the Lord and God was with him. If the Lord's favour is at work in you, it will show forth for all to see. You'll find favour with God and men. You'll be made the head not the tail. You'll excel and prosper if you maintain your relationship with God and serve in humility.

As you enjoy of this earthly blessings, desire also for the eternal blessings which is in Christ Jesus. Be firmly rooted in faith and don't allow temporary circumstances take you away from the crown of glory awaiting you. May the blessings of the Lord locate every sphere of your life even now and forevermore in Jesus name. AMEN!



Prayer: Creator and owner of all creation, receive Your praise and honour for the blessings You've bestowed on me. I pray a lifting in every sphere of my life and may I testify of Your glory even when I'm surrounded by circumstances men deem unpleasant. May I experience Your divine blessings both home and abroad; in my lying and rising up; and in my going out and coming in even now and forevermore in Jesus' name have I asked. AMEN!

    Amen. Father Lord let my faith and hope in you in all good and bad moments be strong like Joseph and your blessings should be like a flowing waterin my life for the days of my life.
    This l asked through your divine mercy in Jesus name. AMEN

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
