DEVOTION ~ RENEWED TO FLOURISH

Theme: Renewed to Flourish 
Text: Ezekiel 36:25-27

 25 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.



In our daily lives, we cleanse ourselves from dirt or filth. Whatever doesn't look appealing to us often is made appealing through cleaning: we wash our dirty clothes, dishes, mop/scrub the floor, take our bath, etc. Likewise when we come before God's presence, our appearance is unclean. He doesn't drive us away, rather He cleanses us with clean sprinkled water and makes us anew in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17).

The Lord creates a new heart and spirit in us through the power of the Holy Spirit. When the Spirit of God rules in us, He takes away our reproach and stony hearts and gives us fleshy hearts. Our unforgiving hearts are replaced with the hearts of love that comes from Jesus. This heart distinguish us from others because it is renewed to love unconditionally. We are also led by the Holy Spirit to do what's right in all boldness. It is in the power of the Holy Spirit the Apostle Peter addressed the multitude on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2). The Lord doesn't count your past wrongs again when you take a walk in the path of righteousness.

You're renewed in Christ Jesus and His Spirit dwells in you. This grace is to make you flourish in every sphere of your life by walking in God's statutes and doing His will. Let your renewed life be visible to all so glory can be given to God.



Prayer: Thank You Lord for the gift of Your spiritual and divine cleansing. As You've cleasend me, help me to walk in your statutes and do Your will. This I ask in Jesus name. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
