DEVOTION ~ UTTERANCE IS OF THE LORD
10 Then Moses said to the Lord, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” 11 So the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord? 12 Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.”
Being in leadership position isn't easy. Most people couldn't fulfill their roles to the fullest as leaders because of utterance: they don't know what to say and how to say it at a given time. This was the plight of Moses whom the Lord has called to bring His people out of bondage. He knows himself as a man of few words: he can't speak well for his mouth and tongue were heavy.
Moses acknowledged he isn't eloquent before and at the time God called him. There might be things that limit you when you need to go forth with the gospel discussion in your home, neighborhood, workplace, community, nation, and the world at large. You need to understand that, the things of the Lord, are not done carnally but are carried out spiritually through the Handwork of the Holy Spirit. Whatever capacity you're occupying, raise divine altar and invite the Holy Spirit to prevail in all you do.
The Lord formed every part of the human body and so we must use them to glorify Him. Also take note that, every physical challenge on the human body also is from the Lord. No wonder when Jesus was asked who have sinned for the man to be born blind; is it his mother, father or himself? His response was, it was meant for the glory of God (John 9:1-5). Your challenge will be used to glorify God when men see the miracles the Lord will perform in your life.
God told Moses to go for He will be his mouth and teach him what to say. O yes! God is still in this business with those who trust Him wholeheartedly. Utterance is of the Lord for the Holy Spirit gives us the right utterance even in prayer. Surrender your mouth to the Lord and His Word will fill your mouth in your rising and lying down, in your going out and coming in, in your labour, in discharging responsibilities amongst others. Drop every "what if" spirit and let God have His way in your life.
Prayer: The Maker of my mouth and all that make me, I'm grateful for creating me the way I am. Help me accept the way You've created me. I know your grace is sufficient in my weaknesses so I pray Your will be done in my life. I receive Your Word in my mouth to declare victory in all things I do. This I ask in Jesus' name. AMEN!
Amen. My challenge will be a testimony to glorify the Most High God.
