DEVOTION ~ WAIT ON THE LORD

Theme: Wait on the Lord 
Text: Psalm 27:14

14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!



Waiting isn't pleasant when your expectations seems to be delayed. Usually our Christian journey is well defined in what we do while waiting on the Lord. It is in the waiting we develop an attitude of faith. For the testing of faith produces perseverance (James 1:3).

Without perseverance, it will be difficult to wait on the Lord. Patience is the key to unlocking yourself from destructions as you wait on the Lord. Don't give room for the things happening around you to prevent you from drawing near to God or trusting Him to fulfill your dreams. No matter the circumstance, be of good courage and don't doubt the saving power of God. 

God's word does not return to Him void, it only returns once it is manifested. Whatever He has said concerning you shall come to pass. Your heart will rejoice over God's goodness in your life. Your heart will be strengthen the more to have faith in the Lord and wait on Him for other expectations. Don't move before God. The next time you want to give up, just be encouraged the only correct clock in use, is God's divine clock not yours or others. Wait, I say, on the Lord for in His time He makes all things beautiful. 



Prayer: Dear God, I'm grateful You're a covenant keeping God. You never relent on any of Your promises. Teach my heart and mind to trust You and wait patiently for Your will to be done in my life. Please help me overcome every struggle with anxiety, fear and doubts by the power of the Holy Spirit. This I ask in Jesus' name. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
