Theme: The Way, Truth and Life
Text: John. 14:1-6

14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.” 5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.


Christ gave an assurance to His disciples to take them with Him to the Father's house when He returns again. Dear beloved in the Lord, the redemption work on the cross has been done and Christ is seated at the right hand of God. His return is what we are waiting for so we can be with Him in glory.

The guide to enter the Father's house is in Christ Jesus. We need to believe in Him. If we rely on Him as our Saviour, we will obey Him and do His will. There's no other way to the Father except in Jesus. We will consider the three key things Jesus said to His disciples of who He is:

The Way: The reconciliation of man to God is found solely in Jesus. No one can have a right standing with God without Jesus. His blood has atone for our sins and speaks good tidings over our lives. He is the High Priest whose drop of blood entered into the Holy of Holies and the curtain of the temple got torn from top to down to grant access to all to freely and boldly come to the Father. He is the first born of the resurrection. Our righteousness before God is not by works but by the righteousness in Christ Jesus.

The Truth: He did not speak of His own accord but spoke what the Lord has asked Him to speak. His teachings revealed the truth in the knowledge of God thereby exposing the hypocrisy of the Scribes, Pharisees and Sudducees. Whatever He said of Himself ~ His suffering, death and resurrection came to pass to attest His nature of truthfulness.

The Life: In Him all things exist. His life is the light unto us. He is the giver of life. If we believe in Him, He will give us eternal life. His life has He laid for us so we can be saved from the bondage of sin and death. 

Jesus will return again but that will be to judge the world. Will you enter into the Father's house? Your deeds in the Lord should give you an automatic answer. All it takes is to believe and obey His Word. You cannot go to the Father unless You pass through the Way (Jesus Christ), avail yourself for the Truth (Jesus Christ) to prevail in you in all you do so you can have eternal life in Jesus.



Prayer: Faithful Father, thank You for the knowledge of the Word. I pray You forgive me for not walking in Your Way, not abiding in truth and not availing myself for the life of Christ to manifest in me. I humbly ask the Holy Spirit take control over my will to conform with the will of God. In Jesus' name have I prayed. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
