DEVOTION ~ WISDOM TO BE A VICTOR

Theme: Wisdom to be a Victor  
Text: Proverbs 22:3-5

3 A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, but the simple pass on and are punished. 4 By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches and honor and life. 5 Thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse; He who guards his soul will be far from them.



In our dispensation where evil is seen as a new normal, we as Christians must not encourage it but rather resist and flee from it. When we hide ourselves from the evil that want to ensnare us; be it sexual sin, pilfering, bribes, malpractice, orgies, debauchery, necromancy, sorcery, and the likes, we become prudent. 

We need to be wise and not allow ourselves to be entangled in sin. To be wise is to fear God and in fearing God, you're saying no to sin. However, if you allow or permit evil around you, you'll surely receive a punishment for such a sin. The punishment can be imprisonment, fines, missing an opportunity in life or even death.

Humility and the fear of the Lord open divine doors in our favour. This can be riches, honour or long life. If you desire to be blessed by God, then do what He asks you to do. However, if you set your life to live an immoral life, serve idols, or engage in any form of evil, be prepared to face its consequences. They become thorns and snares in your way which will not permit you to prosper, be honored or have long life. Guard your soul from evil and embrace God's goodness and divine blessings.



Prayer: Your fear O God is wisdom, grant me the spirit of humility and alertness to flee from every form of evil. Bless my way with Your grace of riches, honour and eternal life. May the Holy Spirit strengthen me to walk in the path of righteousness all the days of my life. This I ask in Jesus' name. AMEN!

    Amen. Father Lord, let humility and the fear of you filled me and open divine doors in my favour. Deliver me from any immoral life that will bring separation between us that will bring a disgrace on my Christian life. In Jesus name have l prayed.

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
