DEVOTION ~ DEAL BOUNTIFULLY WITH ME, LORD!

Theme: Deal Bountifully With Me Lord! 
Text: Psalm 119:17-19

17 Deal bountifully with Your servant,
That I may live and keep Your word.
18 Open my eyes, that I may see
Wondrous things from Your law.
19 I am a stranger in the earth;
Do not hide Your commandments from me.


The favour of God reaches us even in our moments of grieve and despair. Often times, people try to gain earthly attention instead of spiritual attention. As the psalmist said, deal with me bountifully that I may live and keep Your law. The power of God will not allow you to witness falsely the saving grace of God. It will rather equip us to proclaim Christ in words and in deeds. 

If we will accept God's ways, He will bless us abundantly. He will bless our going out and coming in as well as every field entitled to us. We need God's eye to be upon us to carry out our responsibilities. When we request of God to open our eyes to the wondrous things from the law, we are asking God to reveal the truth of His Word to us as well as any veil or limitation to our building of lasting relationships with Him should be made known to us. Once we indetify them, we need to pray the Holy Spirit to help us know what to do. 

We still need the command of the Lord to do the Father's will. The Bible is there to serve as a guide for pilgrims like us on this earth. Study the Word of God and apply it in your life.


Prayer: Father in heaven, I thank You for Your mercies in my life. I pray the Blood of Jesus to cleanse me from my sins be it secret, willful or presumptuous. May my mind and heart be renewed in the knowledge of Your glory that I may serve You faithfully. Deal bountifully with me O Lord that I may testify of Your doings in Jesus name. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
