DEVOTION ~ NONE LIKE JEHOVAH

Theme: None Like Jehovah 
Text: Psalm 89:6-7

6 For who in the heavens can be compared to the Lord? Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the Lord? 7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be held in reverence by all those around Him.



God is immeasurable and uncomparable in this world and even in the realm of the spirit. In the heavens, earth, the seas and all of creation, there's none like God. No man can compare himself to the Lord. For man is but a clay in the hands of God (the Potter). Take this moment to consider nature and how everything takes its natural shape and form. Not to take you far, just look at yourself in the mirror, take a look at the lines in your palm, hair, teeth, eyes, ears, etc. It's different from the millions of people out there. Consider your finger print differs from others (millions of people in the world). God has really made you unique and that makes Him above all things in wisdom, might and power. 

God really deserved to be greatly fear. You need to reverent God in all you do. Amongst the saints, we ought to declare the wonders of God. His praise must rise to Him each passing moment. Nothing should prevent believers from honoring God for there's none like Him. Who has immense wisdom to identify each creature uniquely? Who can understand the seasons and times? Who can tell the end from the beginning? The only one capable of doing all these is God and Him only. Cannonize the Lord at dawn, morning, noon day, evening, night and midnight. Even in your sleep, give awe praise to the Lord. 



Prayer: Among the gods, who is like Thee my Lord and King? There's none in time past, present even into the Future. I hallowed Your name, magnify Your glory and marvelous works in my life. I will tell of Your majesty in my going out and coming in; in my lying down and rising up even now and forevermore in Jesus name. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
