DEVOTION ~YOUR SEASON WILL NOT FAIL

Theme: Your Season Will Not Fail
Text: Genesis 1:14-19

14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. 16 Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. 17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.



To everything in life there's a season. This has only been made possible by the Lord's doing. Knowing there's the need for us to know the times of our lives. God created the lights in the firmament to bring glad tidings in our lives. The sun, moon and starts must bring good tidings to us: night and day; signs and seasons; days and the years. As mortals, we cannot determine the outcome of our daily activities unless we trust God. Some boasted in doing one thing or the other but never were able to fulfill them because the giver of life requested of their souls. It is for us to say, if the Lord wills, in this season, we will do this or that (Ecclesiastes 3; Proverbs 27:1; Luke 12:13-21; James 4:13-17) 

When our season of bliss comes, we need to embrase it with all joy giving thanks to God. Likewise we the season of sorrows befall us, we need to give thanks to God. If we learn to be grateful to the Lord in all seasons, He will make things fall right for us. For He has control of how each season of our lives should be like. He is able to determine who should be lifted up and who should be brought low. Our seasons will not fail if we trust the Lord to see us through. May the Holy Spirit enlighten us on how to commit our seasons to the Lord's care.




Prayer: Father of all seasons, I'm grateful You have set everything right on earth for me. I pray the Holy Spirit prompts me in my moments of breakthroughs to do what I ought to do so as not to miss the moment. I ask He as well strengthens me when the season is unfavorable that I may stand faithful in all its adversities. I pray Your glory be revealed in every season of my life in Jesus' name. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
