DEVOTION ~ DIVINE VISITATION
Theme: Divine Vistation
Text: Luke 1:39-45
39 Now Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah, 40 and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. 41 And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. 45 Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.”
It's so pleasant to have loved ones pay surprise visit to us. It brings joy to us and we have time to share fond memories. Mary's visit to Elizabeth was because of what the angel told her. But this visit isn't just an ordinary one, it was divine. Her greetings to Elizabeth made the baby in her womb leaped and she became filled with the Holy Spirit.
When we avail ourselves to be used by the Holy Spirit, every utterance of ours will stir up the Holy Spirit in the lives of many. We have the power of life and death in our mouths. Life is only with Jesus and so His presence in us will cause a shift in every circumstance we speak into. Don't weep over your troubles or challenges, just speak life into them. Where there's darkness, declare the presence of Light, in sorrows declare solace and in dead situations speak life for the power of the Live Giver resides in us.
When we have a closer relationship with the Lord, we will be blessed in whatever we do. The fruit of our labour will increase greatly and it shall be well with us. This is the portion of those who have put their trust in God for grace will abound for them. Whatever good thing we don't deserve will locate us by the mercies of His grace. If only we will believe and trust God, then all things assured us will be fulfilled by the power of God. Be a blessing today in the lives of others and divinely visit them with God's comforting Word. Shallom!
Prayer: In Your glory You visit the earth with mercies divine. Take glory for granting me Your grace. Help me to walk in the knowledge of Your truth and to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Touch my lips to speak of your glory and to declare deliverance, breakthroughs, and all divine blessings at all times. This I ask in Jesus' name. AMEN!
