DEVOTION ~ HAVE YOU TAKEN SEED OF CHRIST?

Theme: Have You Taken Seed of Christ? 
Text: Luke 1:26-33

26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” 29 But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. 30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”



Six months after Zacharias encountered the angel of God, Mary has also been visited at home. The visitation of God can take place anywhere not just necessarily the temple. Your good deeds will open the doors for you to encounter God daily. It is this attitude that will help you birth Jesus Christ. Christ must be seen in you daily. 

Mary the mother of Jesus was a virgin at the time she encountered the angel of God. Purity is required when having a walk with the Lord. You can't continue sinning and expect the Holy Spirit to be upon you. She preserved her purity and it brought honour to her before God and all men.

Dear beloved in the Lord, Christ has assured us of the Holy Spirit, we need to do the needful to allow Him use us to glorify God. You need to give birth to Christ in your speech, actions, attitudes, career, family, ministry, etc. If you live a good life, without the presence of Bible, you'll preach who Christ is to the world around you. When you birth Christ, He will make you great and coheir to His Kingdom.


Prayer : My God who honors those who are true to His Word, kindly turn to me and help me avail myself to Your glory. I pray You cleanse me from all forms of filth and impurities be it carnal or spiritual. Create in me a clean heart and renewed spirit to do Your will. This I ask for in Jesus name. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
