DEVOTION ~ PRAISE THE SALVATION OF THE LORD
Theme: Praise the Salvation of the Lord
Text: Psalm 98:1-3
98 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song!
For He has done marvelous things;
His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory. 2 The Lord has made known His salvation; His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations. 3 He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
For He has done marvelous things;
His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory. 2 The Lord has made known His salvation; His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations. 3 He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
God deserves praise from us His children. Great and marvelous are His doings in our lives daily. They are so numerous we can't count them to the end. Of all His doings, we need to daily praise Him for His free gift of salvation. The salvation of our souls give us victory in all things.
The psalmist says, God's right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory. The righteousness of God is revealed in Christ Jesus and anyone who believes in Him receives it. This righteousness makes us holy in God's presence since we now have the nature of Christ in us. We have therefore conquered the bondage and wages of sin through Christ Jesus. We wouldn't have done this by ourselves, we would have failed woefully over and over again.
The message of redemption is not hidden but made known through the Gospel. God's mercies towards us each day is renewed. Likewise His faithfulness unto us and even to those still in bondage of sin. God's salvation is unconditional (it is a free gift from Him) just like His love. We must appreciate this and give Him praise at all times. Cease every passing seconds to thank God for His salvation for it is His free gift to us all made in His image and likeness.
Prayer: Hallelujah! Let all that's within me praise the name of God. For all the marvelous things You have done, doing, and will be doing in the future, I lift up praise to Your Holy name. Thank You for saving my soul from damnation. Help me to stay faithful in this saving grace given unto me for free. May I treasure the salvation of my soul above all things even now that I know it is free. This I ask in Jesus' name. AMEN!
