DEVOTION ~ THE APPLE OF GOD'S EYE

Theme:The Apple of God's Eye
Text: Psalm 17:6-10

I have called upon You, for You will hear me, O God; Incline Your ear to me, and hear my speech. Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand, O You who save those who trust in You from those who rise up against them. Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me under the shadow of Your wings, From the wicked who oppress me, from my deadly enemies who surround me. 10 They have closed up their fat hearts; With their mouths they speak proudly.

God have listening ears and an outstretched hand to save anyone who calls to Him. The psalmist knows this well that is why, he said he will call on God for he knows, He incline His ears to his speech. We are the apple of God's eyes for He loves us unconditionally. Anyone who does the will of God, becomes the apple of His eyes. He will watch over such a soul and deliver him from any form of harm.

Therefore, anyone who put his trust in God will not be put to shame. God has always shown His marvelous lovingkindnesss in our lives to bring about deliverance, healing, uplifting, breakthroughs and all heavenly divine blessings. Every battle of the believer must be handed to God in prayer for victory to be attained. Though the adversary will wage war against us pompously, yet he will prevail either physically or spiritually.

Our warfare is not carnal but to the pulling down of strongholds, principalities and evil forces (Ephesians 6:12). Dear beloved in the Lord, it is only in the shadow of God's wings safety is assured without fail. To overcome the schemes of the wicked, there's the need to trust God. Trusting God must come with giving reverence to God and keeping to His commands. To experience grace divine in life, become the apple of God's eyes in obedience and your life will never be the same.

Prayer: Thank You my God and King for making me the apple of Your eyes. Holy Spirit divine, direct my path to please the Lord than do any detestable thing in God's presence. May the Lord protect and deliver my household and all that's mine from the wicked. This I ask in Jesus' name. AMEN!
