DEVOTION ~ GOD WILL FRUSTRATE YOUR ADVERSARIES

Theme: God Will Frustrate Your Adversaries
Text: Isaiah 44:24-25

24 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer,
And He who formed you from the womb: “I am the Lord, who makes all things, who stretches out the heavens all alone, who spreads abroad the earth by Myself; 25 Who frustrates the signs of the babbles, and drives diviners mad; Who turns wise men backward, and makes their knowledge foolishness.


In yesterday's devotion, we looked at the redemptive work of God and how His mercies will blot out our sins like the thick dark clouds. The same God is calling to us that He is our Redeemer. He formed us in the womb of our respective mothers' and has sustained us till now. Praise be to His Holy and Majestic name. 

Being the Creator and Controller of affairs, God has the potent power to will or not to will the happenings on the earth. With this assurance, and learning from Job's encourter with the accuser, dear beloved in the Lord, there's nothing about your life hidden from God. If evil people meet and decide to harm you, note that, your life is hidden in Christ Jesus. They can only harm you if they can defeat the victorious Messiah. 

Jehovah will frustrate the enchantment of the babbles. Their evil intent of hijacking your destiny or monitoring the signs of your breakthroughs to destroy your life cannot materialized as there's a divine hedge covering over your life. The premonition of the diviner to calculate how to bring you down will be overturned by the power of the Holy Spirit and they shall run mad says the Lord. God will render the wicked foolish, for their darkened wisdom will disappoint them. True wisdom is of God not with evil. May the Lord deliver you and all that is yours from the hands of the wicked. May the enterprise of your adversaries be frustrated continually by the power of the Holy Spirit even now and forevermore in Jesus name. AMEN!


Prayer: My faithful and dependable Deliverer, thank You for keeping me and all that is mine (family, friends, neighbors, country, etc) safe from the wicked. Dear God, root me firmly in Your Word that no voice of the adversary can scare me. Holy Spirit divine, fill me and increase my faith in the Lord. I decree victory over every challenge in life and no evil agenda concerning my life and that of my loved ones shall stand for God will frustrate the wicked for my name's sake. In the Mighty name of Jesus the Christ do I pray. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
