DEVOTION ~ GRACE DIVINE
1 Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God 2 which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, 3 concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, 4 and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. 5 Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name, 6 among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ; 7 To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
The grace of God is manifested in Christ Jesus who laid down His life for us sinners to be reconciled with the Holy God. This grace has drawn us closer to the Lord and given us divine encouragement and power to proclaim the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Apostle Paul encountered Jesus on his way to Damascus and his life has been separated to carry out the message of God to a perishing world. Just like the Apostle Paul, when anyone encounters the Lord, his/her life receives grace from God to become a child of God. This divine grace leads to obedience in fulfillment of every Word of God that transforms and renew the believer in the likeness of Jesus Christ.
The grace of God is sufficient in our weaknesses. Where reason, strength and human abilities fail, faith must be employed for grace to speak. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us and equip us for every good work.
Prayer: Father of mercy and grace, take glory, honor and adoration for reaching out to us in love. Help me not to abuse the sufficiency of Your grace in my life. Guide me O Holy Spirit divine to obey every commandment of the Lord especially in carrying out the Great Commission in deeds and in words. This I pray in the Mighty name of my Lord and personal Saviour Jesus the Christ. AMEN!
