DEVOTION ~ PROSPER IN ALL THINGS

Theme: Prosper in all Things 
Text: 3John 1:1-4

1 The Elder, to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth: 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.


As we journey on this earth, it's vital for us to prosper in all things - physically and spiritually. There's the need for a balanced life so as not to be deficient in the walk with the Lord, for false balance is an abomination before the Lord.

As the Apostle John is pleased to hear the good report of Gaius, this must be how good accounts must be given about every child of God even in his/her absence. A complete and well lived life is one that entails walking in the truth. That's to say, doing the Father's will. In so doing, may power change hands into the Hands of the Holy Spirit concerning every sphere of your life (marriage, education, finances, career, business, relationships, etc) to bring about prosperity in your life.

To prosper, is to see divine lifting and increase - able to stand firmly. Dear beloved in the Lord, ask God to make you prosper in your health (so that you can carry out His command, touch lives, etc); finances (so you can be a blessing to others continually in providing for their needs); family (so the family can be an example to the world about God's goodness); education (to attain wisdom both from the Lord and scholarly); make a list of what you want God to prosper you in and lay it before Him and it shall be established. May the prosperity in the Lord locate you divinely and transform your life even now and forevermore in Jesus name. 


Prayer: Thanks be to You my God for blessing me abundantly. I pray as you prosper me, may I not be cynical but generous to all. I pray for Your prosperity in all things without fail by the power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus' name. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
