DEVOTION ~ REDEEMED BY THE LORD

Theme: Redeemed by the Lord
Text: Isaiah 44:21-23

21 “Remember these, O Jacob, and Israel, for you are My servant; I have formed you, you are My servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me! 22 I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, and like a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.” 23 Sing, O heavens, for the Lord has done it! Shout, you lower parts of the earth; Break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, and glorified Himself in Israel.

God has demonstrated from the time of creation to now His endless love towards mankind. In His image, He created us male and female. Israel is the chosen one of the promise and by the mercies of God through Jesus, both Jewish and Gentile nations  have received grace to freely come to the presence of God as His beloved children.

The seed of disobedience has been a destructive tool from the Garden of Eden till now. Sin is sin and there's no little or big sin, for sin is not allowed in God's presence. Though our transgressions and sins are thick like the clouds it has been blotted out by the Blood of Jesus giving way for Light to shine for the darkness could not comprehend it. God hasn't given up on anyone not even sinners, for His love has been revealed even while we were sinners through His Beloved Son. Return to the Lord now for His arms are opened to embrace You just like the Father of the prodigal son run to meet him. Your redemption is in Christ Jesus, surrender to Him and you shall be saved.

Dear beloved in the Lord, let your song of praise be heard aloud declaring what the Lord has done. The heavenly hosts rejoices immersely when a sinner repents so it is with us on earth that witness new converts in the church. The redemption work has gone through processes to God glorifying Himself. This is well explained in Romans 8:30; Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. You have the mark of redemption if Jesus is welcomed into your heart, don't delay welcoming Him into your heart.

Prayer: My Gracious Redeemer, take glory, honor and adoration for coming to the aid of a sinner like me. I confess my sins; idolatry, hatred, unforgiveness, the lust of the flesh and the likes and I plead for Your divine forgiveness and cleansing from them all. Thank you saving me. I invite the Holy Spirit into my life to direct the affairs of my life that I may serve You faithfully. This I ask in the name of my Lord and personal Saviour, Jesus the Christ. AMEN!
