DEVOTION ~ TOGETHER BUT DIVIDED

Text: Esther 1:9-13

9 Queen Vashti also made a feast for the women in the royal palace which belonged to King Ahasuerus. 10 On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, seven eunuchs who served in the presence of King Ahasuerus, 11 to bring Queen Vashti before the king, wearing her royal crown, in order to show her beauty to the people and the officials, for she was beautiful to behold. 12 But Queen Vashti refused to come at the kings command brought by his eunuchs; therefore the king was furious, and his anger burned within him.


King Ahasuerus had everything beautiful in his life; kingdom, treasury, servants, nobles, and above all his wife. Yet, he could not bond well with his wife. Most people in this dispensation have missed the mark in life's relationships because they have not been able to bond well with those who matter in their lives; spouses, children, parents, siblings, friends, co-workers, neighbors and other people. They often neglect them bringing a big gap between their relationships leading to pain and regrets. 

A pleasure of one hundred and eighty days with extra seven days couldn't bond two couples together. It rather tore them apart. This is because, though they were married couples, yet their motives were different. The king's desire is to display his majesty to his guests and subjects whereas the queen's desire is to command respect from all the women in the province. Honour and respect every relationship in your life for it is the key to your next level of souring higher. The outcomes of your relationship in the future, is based on how you handle issues in the relationship today. 

The king only remembered the beauty of his wife when he had finished showing off his wealth. It wasn't necessary for seven eunuchs to be sent to the queen, yet they were sent but the report they brought back was unpleasant. The queen declined to the king's command. The principle of love and submissiveness was breached by the two couples. Dear beloved in the Lord, you need these principles in every relationship in order to bond well with others.


Praye: Divine Triune God, thank You for teaching me the essence of unity. Help me to bond well with my spouse, children, parents, siblings, friends, co-workers, neighbors and every human being in the Lord. Grant me the spirit of love and submissiveness to enhance my relationships with You and my brethren. This I ask in the name of Christ Jesus my Lord. AMEN!

    I pray n ask the HOLY SPIRIT vfor guidance and obey to heed all towards All kind of people's by showing them with Great Love so HELP ME LORD in Jesus name I ASK. Amen

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
