DEVOTION ~ YOU ARE A ROYAL
Theme: You are a Royal
Text: Esther 1:5-8
5 And when these days were completed, the king made a feast lasting seven days for all the people who were present in Shushan the citadel, from great to small, in the court of the garden of the king’s palace. 6 There were white and blue linen curtains fastened with cords of fine linen and purple on silver rods and marble pillars; and the couches were of gold and silver on a mosaic pavement of alabaster, turquoise, and white and black marble. 7 And they served drinks in golden vessels, each vessel being different from the other, with royal wine in abundance, according to the generosity of the king. 8 In accordance with the law, the drinking was not compulsory; for so the king had ordered all the officers of his household, that they should do according to each man’s pleasure.
The king after displaying his wealth and celebrating with his guests, now extended it to both the great and small in the Citadel with a feast. The occasion was colorful and each celebrant has liberty to decide what to eat or drink. Dear beloved in the Lord, when the Lord's Day comes, those who will enter into His Kingdom will experience a better celebration than this.
So long as you're one with Christ, you're a royal. The royal mark and seal is upon you and you will by no means missed being adorn as such. The city of God is a beautiful one full of gold and other expensive ornaments. It can only be entered into by those who belong there just as the feast of king Ahasuerus was for those in the citadel. The great banquet of the Lord is what you must never miss, so serve well in God's vineyard and when that day comes, you will be welcomed to the feasting.
Dear beloved in the Lord, your life now is determined by the standards set by God. You're to keep to it so that the Kingdom of God can welcome more souls. Let the royal priesthood in you be evident in your deeds.
Prayer: Dear God, I thank You for choosing me and making me a royal through Christ Jesus. I pray tge Holy Spirit to strengthen me to never stain my royal garment but rather use it to draw more souls to your Kingdom in Jesus name. AMEN!
