DEVOTION ~ YOU ARE WEALTHY

Theme: You are Wealthy
Text: Esther 1:1-4

Now it came to pass in the days of Ahasuerus (this was the Ahasuerus who reigned over one hundred and twenty-seven provinces, from India to Ethiopia), in those days when King Ahasuerus sat on the throne of his kingdom, which was in Shushan the
citadel, that in the third year of his reign he made a feast for all his officials and servants—the powers of Persia and Media, the nobles, and the princes of the provinces being before him— when he showed the riches of his glorious kingdom and the splendor of his excellent majesty for many days, one hundred and eighty days in all.

Kind Ahasuerus had power and control over a vast area comprising of over one hundred and twenty provinces from India to Ethiopia. He had everything he could think of and so decided to made a feast in his third year of reign. He as well displayed his wealth to all for one hundred and eighty days. You also have power and control as a child of God. Your wealth is tapped from the Blood of Jesus and strengthen by the Holy Spirit.

As a child of God, you also have wealth that's more precious than that of king Ahasuerus. It is important therefore to use it to glorify God. Reach out to others with you wealth to bring about a change in their lives. Make them feel the love of God through you. Freely you've received from the Lord, freely must you also give.

The display of your wealth should not be done to exalt yourself in pride, but to give glory and honor to the Lord. Your testimonies of God's goodness, should be the feast you hold each day. King Ahasuerus' feast lasted for long yet came to an end. However, your wealth in the Lord is limitless as His blessings fall fresh on you continually.

Prayer: My Father and Provider, I thank You for every gift in my life. Help me to testify of Your goodness in my life and empower me to reach out to others in love with Your provision for my life. This I ask in Jesus' name. AMEN!
