Theme: Crushing the Leviathan Heads
Text: Psalm 74:14

14 You broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces, and gave him as food to the people inhabiting the wilderness.

In yesterday's devotion, we learnt about the deliverance in the Living Fountain. God's able to destroy every evil destructive arrow shot at His own. Today, we will be learning on Leviathan. Leviathan is a sea serpent with lots of heads. It also symbolizes the enemy of the children of God. Isaiah the prophet made mention of how it shall be destroyed by God; In that day the Lord with His severe sword, great and strong, will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan that twisted serpent; And He will slay the reptile that is in the sea (Isaiah 27:1).

There are some Leviathan Spirits operating in your life. These spirits are cunny and deceitful. They are quick to present themselves as though they are on your side when the purpose of drawing near to you is to destroy your life. The serpent of old, appeared to be concerned about Eve and Adam, yet it's mission is to destroy them completely. Don't give room to any of such spirits to come near you. The Leviathan spirit is also a usurper; it denies you the peace to enjoy your inheritance or possessions. It's always looking for an opportunity to take what is rightfully yours from you. The sure way to deal with such spirits is by the knowledge of the Word of God and employing the Word as a weapon when they present themselves before you. 

The pronouncement of the Lord on the serpent after leading man to sin is; And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel (Genesis 3:15). Dear beloved in the Lord, the battle line has been drawn from that very day, every Leviathan spirit is an enemy and to be able to crush its head, you need to tap in the strength of the Son of Man who is the Saviour of the world. He broke the multiple heads of Leviathan in pieces. Jesus will crush every Leviathan spirit in your life, and feed it to the people inhabiting the wilderness. These are animals and the mighty who can stand the scorching heat of the wilderness. Their place is not with men, so when God delivers you from the spirits of Leviathan, He will cast it far from your dwelling. Never again, can any Leviathan spirit operate in your life for they have been crushed into pieces and given as food to the dwellers of the wilderness.


Prayer: The Deliverer of my soul, I can never thank You more than enough considering how You have sustained me till this very day. May my lips speak of Your goodness at all times. O God, may Your power crush every Leviathan spirit operating in my health, family, career, business, ministry, children, spouse, neighborhood, nation and every sphere of my life. Take these evil spirits far from my dwelling and make me secured in Your divine hedge covering even now and forevermore in Jesus name have I prayed. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
