DEVOTION ~ GLORIFIED SERVANT OF GOD

Theme: Glorified Servant of God
Text: Isaiah 49:3-4

3 “And He said to me, ‘You are My servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.’ 4 Then I said, ‘I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and in vain; Yet surely my just reward is with the Lord, and my work with my God.’ ”

In yesterday's devotion, we learnt God knows us by name and we are preserved by Him from evil. Today, we're continuing with the relationship that exists between God and His own. In our dispensation, through the mercies of Jesus Christ, we are called the Lord's beloved children. This explains, when the Lord said He knew us before we were born, then He has predestined us so He calls us His own, justified His Word and glorified us in Christ Jesus: Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified (Romans 8:30).

When you live in accordance to God's will, He is glorified through you. The nature of God is manifested in the earth for those in darkness to desire to come into the marvelous light of God. God has been fully gloried in Christ Jesus by the victory He had over His adversaries. Is your life glorifying God, or otherwise?

If you toil in things that do not profit the salvation of your soul, you'll call them vanity upon vanity at the end of time just as the preacher mentioned in Ecclesiastes. Salvation is a free gift of God, yet you must show forth some works that when thou art passed through the fire, you can withstand it and not be consumed. God will reward you for every good work just as He will sanction you when you do evil. Don't just profess you're a Christian, let your deeds speak volume to that effect. May the Lord be glorified in your life even now and forevermore in Jesus name. AMEN!

Prayer: Thank You God for calling me Your own. Forgive me for staining the garment of glory through my words and deeds which does not honour Your Majestic and Holy name. Holy Spirit, You're welcomed in my life to reign. Strengthen me when I'm weak and empower me to overcome the edge yo do evil. This I ask in Christ Jesus my Lord. AMEN!
