DEVOTION ~ GOD WILL GO BEFORE YOU

Theme: God Will Go Before You 
 Text: Isaiah 45:2

2 ‘I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron.


It is only the power of God that can go before us and make our crooked places straight. The Holy Spirit is a guide and teacher to the believer. He is with us in this dispensation to ensure we take the path to the Lord. Every path which leads to destruction, the Holy Spirit will clear it all off to ensure we walk in righteousness. 

Dear beloved in the Lord, what are the crooked places in your life? The crooked place of your like may seem flourishing but not under the management of God. Anything that eliminates the God factor is crooked  and can be made straight (to align with God's will) if we avail ourselves to the Holy Spirit. Are you reluctant in surrendering an area of your life to God? It is the enticement of sin that's holding you bound deceiving you it is normal to lead such a life. 

When sin holds you captive, your Liberator is Jesus the Christ. If the Lord assures His own that, He will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron, it is a message of hope and deliverance. It is solely the Lord that opens and none can shut and the reverse also true. The gates of bronze and the bars of iron preventing you from being who you ought to be in the Lord, will be broken into pieces if you submit to the Lord (James 4:7). There are better things to lay hold of if the gates and bars are broken. Your riches either spiritual or physical will locate you if the gates and bars are touched by the power of the Holy Spirit. Call on God to deliver you now. 


Prayer: O God my true source of happiness and joy, I give You praise and honour for Your divine work of liberation in my life. I surrender to You, every thing You've blessed me with: family, spouse, children, ministry, job businesses, etc that You will go before me and make my crooked places straight. I plead for Your Holy Spirit to break every gate of bronze and bars of iron in my life. Hold my hands dear Lord and usher me to greatness. This I ask for in the name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
