DEVOTION ~ THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH AND SONG

Theme: The Lord is My Strength and Song
Text: Isaiah 12:1-3

12 And in that day you will say: “O Lord, I will praise You; Though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me. 2 Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.’ ” 3 Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

We serve a merciful God whose love and mercy is renewed each day towards us. God forgives us of all our sins when we confess them to Him. His anger is replaced with compassion and He comforts us in His warm embrace. He is our strength and song in all things.

If we put our trust in any other thing apart from God, we will be disappointed woefully. Money, fame, possessions, and things we take pride in can all be lost in a blink of an eye. However, trusting God will always lead us to an expected end. He is our salvation (the Redeemer of our souls from damnation). With Him, there's no need to fear, for He has control over all things. He empowers us to do great things in life. The strength for our weary souls and the lubricant that makes things smooth and easy for us.

He gives us every reason to sing to His praise at all times. He is our song; the sole reason behind our successes in life. When the world thinks we are unqualified, He qualifies us and strategically position us to attain the victory. With joy, we will draw from the well of salvation. Irrespective of the circumstances in life, we will not give up on His salvation but will hold on faithfully. As the year draws to an end, dear beloved in the Lord, may the Lord remain our strength and song.

Prayer: Abba, Father! You're all that matter to me in life. I'll put You in front of my melody and declare Your wonderful works to the world. Fill me O Holy Spirit with strength never to give up on God. Increase my faith that I'll stand firmly and be victorious over every challenge in life. This I pray in the Might name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
