Theme: Praise the Lord! 
Text: Psalm 148:1-6

148 Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights! 2 Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts! 3 Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light! 4 Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, and you waters above the heavens! 5 Let them praise the name of the Lord, for He commanded and they were created. 6 He also established them forever and ever; He made a decree which shall not pass away.


As today marks the last Sunday of the year, consider all that the Lord has done for you throughout the year. Had it not been the mercies of the Lord, you wouldn't have been alive. The pandemic (COVID-19) has taken lots of lives globally yet, you are still alive. That is not by your might but by the grace of God.

The best way to show gratitude to God is by praising Him. Let praise fill your heart and it shall overflow from your lips. Irrespective of who you are, begin to sing to God's glory for shielding you from the destruction of the wicked. All things in nature must arise and praise their Maker from the heavens down to the earth.

God has established you to be great and do mighty things in Christ Jesus. Give Him thanks for showing you His unconditional love and for every blessed gift bestowed on you. Praise the Lord even now and forevermore.


Prayer: Unto You alone be glory, honor and adoration for the marvelous work You're doing in our lives. Take Your praise for sustaining us in good health, providing our daily bread, protecting us from the wicked and for the countless grace that located us in the past, now and into the future. We bow down and worship Your Holy name even now and forevermore in Jesus' name. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
