DEVOTION ~ SPECIAL IN GOD'S EYES

Theme: Special in God Eyes 
Text: Titus 2:11-14

11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.



God in His infinite wisdom decided to create man in His image. This alone shows how He adores and loves us. Parents take pride in having children that resembles them and this is just a tip of the iceberg of how God feels creating us in His image. Though sin tried had to separate us from God, He kept His love intact and sent Jesus Christ to rescue us from sins' crip. You're a special person in God's eyes. 

The grace of salvation is Jesus Christ who offered Himself for us to pay for our sins. He is our standard of how we ought to live. He has taught us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts through parables and other wise teachings. We are to live soberly, righteously and godly in this corrupt world so the world will see an example of Christ in our conducts. 

Dear beloved special child of God, the Saviour will return again to claim His own. Would you like to be a part of those who will be with Him? Then pay heed to His instruction. Tap into the purified living in Jesus Christ by the help of the Holy Spirit. Avail yourself for every good work so as to enter into God's glory. 


Prayer: Thank You heavenly Father for creating me in Your image. Teach me to live uprightly in all I do through the power of the Holy Spirit. May I be found worthy when You return to judge the world. Lead me Lord and show me Your way by breaking every pride in me. This I pray in Jesus' name. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
