DEVOTION ~ YOU CAN'T BE SAVED BY IDOLS

Theme: You can't be Saved by Idols
Text: Isaiah 47:12-15

12 “Stand now with your enchantments
And the multitude of your sorceries, in which you have labored from your youth— Perhaps you will be able to profit, perhaps you will prevail. 13 You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels; Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, and the monthly prognosticators stand up and save you from what shall come upon you. 14 Behold, they shall be as stubble,
The fire shall burn them; They shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame; It shall not be a coal to be warmed by, nor a fire to sit before! 15 Thus shall they be to you with whom you have labored, your merchants from your youth; They shall wander each one to his quarter. No one shall save you.

Decisions in life either produce positive or negative outcomes. If you choose wisely in the Lord, you will enjoy a positive and pleasant outcome. However, if you decide to take path with darkness, you will have bad repercussions. Anything you value and you're concerned about above loving God is your idol.

The prophet invites those who take part in the operations of darkness to call to those things to check whether they shall come to their rescue. Those idols cannot safe from the wrath of God. Destroy the idols of your destiny and surrender completely to God. The salvation of your soul is secured solely in Jesus Christ.

When the Lord returns to judge the world, those who rely on darkness will suffer in the lake of fire (in hell). The fire in hell is unquenchable. What you do today will determine your fate when the Lord returns. Do not waste your youthful life into doing irrelevant things. May God grant you grace to abide under the shadow of the Almighty God.

Prayer: Spirit divine, give me a touch this day so that my life will speak volume of Your glory. Take control over my life and help to do Your will even now and forevermore in Jesus name. AMEN!
