DEVOTION ~ DIVINE SEAL

Theme: Divine Seal
Text: Ephesians 1:13&14

13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.


Every important document that is dispatched is easily noticed by its seal. In the Christiandom, our seal is in the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised the disciples another Helper, Comforter, Guide, Advocate, etc (John 14:16-18) as He leaves them. When we also receive the message of God's saving grace, we acted in faith by believing in Jesus Christ.

Dear beloved in Christ, if you don't have Christ, you can't have the Holy Spirit. And without the Holy Spirit, you have no guarantee to enter into the Kingdom. Don't be a cold or lukewarm Christian. Avail yourself and be on fire for the Lord. The seal upon you is more valuable than any other seal present, past or is to come. For this reason, be grateful to the Lord and lift up your voice to His praise. 


Prayer: The All-knowing Everlasting God, thank You for giving me a mark of identity in Your Kingdom. I receive the seal of the Holy Spirit to empower me to do great works to Your glory even now and forevermore in Jesus name. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
