DEVOTION ~ DIVINE STIRRING

Theme: Divine Stirring
Text: John 5:1-4

5 After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. 3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. 4 For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.

The traditions of old are good and they divinely shape us to tap into the glory of God. The pool of Bethesda brings divine healing to anyone who is first to enter it after the angel of the Lord stirs it up. The manner of people by this pool are the sick, blind, lame, paralyzed and an endless list of infirmity waiting for their turn to get healed. God can use any means to reach out to His own and deliver them from their predicaments.

Dear beloved in the Lord, we are all sick seeking healing from the Lord. The Lord has given unto us the Holy Spirit to equip us for every good work. When we come together to fellowship, there's always a stirring of the Holy Spirit. Amazingly, there's no restrictions to the first to tap in but as many as avail themselves receive Him. How's your fellowship like? Is it to please humans or to make a spectacle of the day? Many have turn the place of stirring into a gymnastic show. Are you a part of that? As the Holy Spirit stirs up the fellowship just avail for the touch and allow Him to use you. More of God and less of you brings divine stirring continually.

Whether you fellowship on the Sabbath or not, each day brings about a divine stirring of the Holy Spirit. You need not queue to access this touch or experience. Yours is to avail. What is your infirmity? It can receive divine touch now if you open up to the Holy Spirit to stir you up. Tap into your healing, restoration and be spirit filled to carry out your God given assignments. There's a stirring as you read this devotion, begin to empty yourself and invite the Holy Spirit to give you that spiritual stirring for you to do the Father's will even now and forevermore in Jesus name.

Prayer: Spirit of the Living God, reign in me from this day forth. Let my past weaknesses in my journey with You be replaced with Your divine strength. Stir me up O Lord and uproot every plant not of You from me. Set it ablaze and burn it into ashes. I pray Your divine plant shall take seed in me that I may bear fruit to Your glory. Thank You God for the stirring in my spirit and for awakening me spiritually from all forms of slumber. I praise you even now and forevermore in Jesus name. AMEN!
