DEVOTION ~ GOD WILL SET YOU ON HIGH
Theme: God Will Set You on High
Text: Psalm 91:14-16
14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.”
Serving God faithfully and trusting Him in all circumstances brings about open doors. To love the Lord is to obey His commands, doing what He expects of you as you go about your duties. He will deliver you when evil wants to consume you just like how the lions could not harm Daniel in the lions den but his adversaries were crushed even before they could reach the floor of the den (Daniel 6).
When God's deliverance comes, it births your elevation. God has the power to bring the proud low and to exalt the humble on high. If you walk in His will, He will set you on high. How are you going about the duties you've been assigned? If you carry it out diligently, you'll never miss the rewards that comes with it. Likewise if you fail to do it well, you can never escape the punishment. Be a humble and faithful servant of the Lord.
Let your ways please the Lord and He will be nearer to you at all times. He will rescue you from the wicked and honour you in their very presence. Haman sort to destroy Mordecai but because Mordecai's ways pleases the Lord, his enemy was used to publicly announce his elevation (Esther 3-8:17). May every Haman in your life be put to shame. The Giver of life will sustain you and crown you with salvation. Draw near to God and abide in His dwelling place.
Prayer: Dear God, thank You for assisting me as I press on in doing Your will. Come Holy Spirit divine and help me to crush every barrier in my life, family, ministry, career, business, and all spheres of my life. I decree I shall be the head not the tail and I will see and enjoy the goodness of the land as the Lord will cause everything to favour me even now and forevermore in Jesus' name. AMEN!
Amen
