DEVOTION ~ GOD'S EYES

Theme: God's Eyes
Text: Jeremiah 16:17

17 For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity hidden from My eyes.



Praise be to God for life and preservation. The Lord watches over us and our ways are not hidden from Him. The eyes of the Lord are always opened watching the deeds of men upon the earth. As a child of God, the Lord's eyes are fixed on you daily. He knows every move you intend to make and those you've made. 

Ask yourself if your doings glory God. If they are not glorifying Him, then you need to do the right thing. God says, His eyes are on all your ways. Nothing is hidden from Him. He will bring to judgment every thing you have done whether good or bad (Ecclesiastes 12:13&14). Thanks be to the saving grace in Christ Jesus, you have the grace to confess your sins and the Lord is faithful and just to forgive you and wash you from them all (1 John 1:9).

Fear God and keep His commandments by resisting sin in your dwelling. May the eyes of the Lord keep you from all evil and direct you to His divine presence in purity and holiness. 


Prayer: God of all creation, who sees everything done publicly and in secret, take Your glory. I come before You and lay my sins before Your presence. Purge out every secret sin, presumptuous sins and any identified sin in me with the blood of Jesus. I ask for the fellowship of the Holy Spirit to be with me and teach me to please You my God and King even now and forevermore in Jesus name. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
