DEVOTION ~MY EXPECTATIONS

Theme: My Expectations
Text: Psalm 62:5-8

5 My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. 7 In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. 8 Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah

There's none on the surface of the earth without expectations. Basically, our expectations are endless as we hope for new and bigger things as we advance in age. The manifestation of our expectations is in the Lord that's the main reason we must trust Him.

When we seek to be protected, it is all from the Lord. The psalmist referred to God as his Rock, Salvation and Defense and so he shall not be moved. Yes! It is solely in the Lord we can attain salvation and the glory that comes with it. God gives us power and strength to overcome every storm in our lives. Therefore, the psalmist is right to say, God is his strength and refuge (Isaiah 40:31; 43:2).

We ought to trust the Lord at all times. If we trust Him, then can we pour out our heart to Him. We will continually take refuge in the Lord if we hold fast to His Word and apply faith where reasoning fails knowing with God, all things are possible.

Prayer: Unto You alone O Lord be praise for Your protection and preservation of all things in creation including me. I trust every area of my life to Your care, let Your will be done and give me victory by the power of the Holy Spirit to do Your will in all things. This I ask for in Jesus' name. AMEN!
