Theme: The Power of God's Works
Text: Psalm 111:6-10

6 He has declared to His people the power of His works, in giving them the heritage of the nations. 7 The works of His hands are verity and justice; All His precepts are sure. 8 They stand fast forever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. 9 He has sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever: Holy and awesome is His name. 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.


God has over the years shown His power and great works amongst His own and even with the pagan nations. The deliverance of Israel from Egypt to the land of promise manifested how great and awesome God is. For us to understand it better, we need to relate it in our personal lives. 

What has the Lord done for you? Consider how He delivered you from that accident, sickness, litigation, debt, etc. What would have been your end if the Lord had not given you divine assistance? God's ways are true and just. If you follow His precepts you will overcome the storm of life. The truth of His Word liberates you from the shackles of the enemy.

In Christ we have been redeemed from the debt of our sins. A covenant is established in Christ Jesus for anyone who believes in Him. Depend not on your work and strength for it cannot save you but the Blood of Jesus can. Giving priority to the things of God enlightens the eyes of your understanding. To fear God is to obey His command and it serves as a guide to know the right way to follow in life. Divine direction brings wisdom in decision making to aid you in life and position you strategically in all you do.



Prayer: Great and awesome God, You deserve the glory, honor and adoration. I humble myself in Your presence and ask the manifestation of Your glorious Hand in all I do. Guide me Holy Spirit to fulfill my God given assignment here on earth. Father, let Your works be evident in my life even now and forevermore in Jesus' name. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
