DEVOTION ~ TOGETHER IN CHRIST

Theme: Together in Christ
Text: Ephesians 1:10-12

10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. 11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.

In yesterday's devotion, we learnt that the Blood of Redemption is active and will give us victory in all things. Today, we are looking at how God will gather all things in Christ. Even before the birth of Christ, God revealed, He will give unto His own a common language;  “For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, that they all may call on the name of the Lord, to serve Him with one accord (Zephaniah 3:9).

On the Day of the Lord, the elect will be gathered together with the Lord. Dear beloved in the Lord, you can't afford to miss this opportunity. Begin to evaluate your relationship with God. How do you respond to the instructions of the Lord? Do you feel God's being too demanding? It is the voice of deceit (the devil's way of moving you out of God's plan) that's taking control over your life. You must not give room for such deceitful voices to speak to you.

In Christ we have an inheritance as cohier with Him. Once in the Lord, all other believers are your siblings in the Lord. If you are not able to accept and love them, then you're deviating from God's will. Love is what brings the unity. The prophet Zephaniah made known that, God said His people will call upon Him to serve Him in one accord. Let not your joy in the Lord be complete until you are of one accord with other part of the Body of Christ.

Prayer: Love of God take seed in me. Teach me to do Your will in obedience. Take away hatred and give me a heart of love to join the Body of Christ in one accord to serve You in truth and in spirit. May I never miss the great gathering of Your own. This I ask in Jesus' name. AMEN!
