DEVOTION ~ THE FULFILLED TIME
Theme: The Fulfilled Time
Text: Mark 1:14&15
To all things on earth, time is given; on some obituaries, it reads, "sunrise (the year of birth) to sunset (the year of death). It's just a signal to the living, your own sunset could come soon. How prepared are you? Jesus began His ministry calling out to people that the time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel. We will delve into this in our devotion today.
All prophecies about Jesus has started manifestation at the time He made this call. John the Baptist has prepared the way and was taken out of the picture, and now the focus is Jesus. The salvation of the Lord has come, we can only embrace it with repentance. You can't come to God not ready to surrender to Him through repentance and believing in the Messiah.
Dear beloved in the Lord, as indicated early on, we've all witnessed our sunrise but the sunset is what we cannot tell when it will come. Let us repent of any sin that still cling to our sleeves. We will all not be alive to witness the Day of the Lord as some will fall asleep before that time. That is every one will surely fulfill the appointed time given him/her here on this earth without fail. Will your time be well talked of or it will be shameful to even mention it. The Kingdom of God is at hand, do the right thing.
Prayer: Dear God, I humbly come to Your Throne of Mercy seeking for Your forgiveness. For You have said, You're faithful and just to forgive if I confess my sins. Forgive me for the sins of unforgiveness, carnal desires, evil intentions, sexual sins, addictions, (list any sin you're ready to confess to God). Blood of Jesus, wash and cleanse me from them all and empower me by the Holy Spirit to do what is right in Your presence. This I pray through Christ my Lord. AMEN!
