DEVOTION ~ GOD IS GRACIOUS
Theme: God is Gracious
Text: Psalm 145:17-21
17 The Lord is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works. 18 The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. 19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. 20 The Lord preserves all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy. 21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord, and all flesh shall bless His holy name forever and ever.
From beginning of time to now, God has been faithful with His creation and is very much concerned about their well-being. He has never in anyway does an unrighteous deed towards His creation but man that He created in His image and likeness, always does the unrighteous things towards God. But this does not in any way change the nature of God. God is still the same as He was yesterday and will remain so even in the future. (Genesis 2-3; Hebrews 13:8)
Having a kind nature, God is gracious towards mankind. He is ever present when we sincerely call to Him in repentance. He hears our plea and have mercy upon them. If we abide in Christ, whatever we ask in His name will be given unto us. We will be fully satisfied daily and we shall lack no good thing. God is ever ready to redeem us if we turn from our evil ways but if we refuse to, then damnation will be our lot. (1 John 1:9&10; John 3:16; 14:12-14; 15:7&8)
God has demonstrated His immeasurable love towards us in Christ Jesus, let us be grateful and give Him thanks. Our mouth must speak the praise of the Lord, and all flesh must bless His holy name forever and ever for redemption of our souls through the Blood of Jesus. God is still gracious draw near to Him and He will satisfy your desires.
Prayer: Most gracious God, You deserve praise, honour and adoration for all the benefits You daily load us with. When we consider our ways yet Your love towards us never changes, all we can say is hallelujah be to Your name. Empower us by Your Holy Spirit to do Your will and to please You in every sphere of our lives even now and forevermore in Jesus' name have we asked. AMEN!
