DEVOTION ~ THE LORD IS GREAT

Theme: The Lord is Great 
Text: 1 Chronicles 16:23-26

23 Sing to the Lord, all the earth; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. 24 Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. 25 For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised; He is also to be feared above all God's. 26 For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the Lord made the heavens.



Each time the account of the redemption of man is recalled, praise must follow. This is the demonstration of God's love towards the human race whether Jews or Gentiles. From day to day, we ought to proclaim His salvation so that, those in darkness can also be saved too. We need to declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples of the earth. (Matthew 28:18-20; John 3:16)

The Lord is great and greatly to be praised for the miracles and wonders He performs amongst us. He is also to be feared above all God's; For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the Lord made the heavens. The Lord is the Creator of all things but idols are the craft of men's hands. The idols cannot perform any thing for themselves because, they have no power. The Lord's indeed great and to be feared above all other gods.


Prayer: Unto You alone O God is our voice and hands lifted in praise for Your wonderful and marvelous works amongst us. Take glory, honour and adoration for redeeming us from destruction. Help us to hold fast this salvation and not allow the passion of this age delude us of this hope even now and forevermore in Jesus' name have we asked. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
