DEVOTION ~ A NEW THING

Theme: A New Thing 
Text: Isaiah 43:19-21

19 Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. 20 The beast of the field will honor Me, the jackals and the ostriches, because I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen. 21 This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise.


Indeed God has established a new thing on earth through Christ Jesus. The yearly sacrifice has been replaced with a one time perpetual sacrifice through Christ Jesus. By this, anyone in Christ is a new creation, the former nature is gone. The new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

The way of the Lord has been made even through the hearts of the Gentile nations. The desolate hearts of the Gentiles has been refreshed by the Living Water. The wicked and tyrants have humbled themselves in God's presence; Apostle Paul the persecutor of the Church when he encountered Christ on the way to Damascus, surrendered completely to the Lord. We can name vile people in our communities who have also been transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 11:10; 42:4; Matthew 12:21; Acts 9; Romans 15:12&13)

God has formed us anew as His people, we must therefore live every passing moment for His glory. In as much as His praise is upon our lips, our actions should also speak forth about our newness in Christ Jesus in all areas of our lives.



Prayer: O God, You've created as anew for Your glory and we are very grateful that Your mercies extended to anyone who believes. Help us by the power of the Holy Spirit to please You in all areas of our lives. May we continually declare Your name to bring light where there's darkness even now and forevermore in Jesus' name have we prayed. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
